The campus learned last week of the passing of Stephen M. Curtis, who served as Hudson Valley Community College’s fourth president from 1996 to 1998.
During President Curtis’ brief tenure, the college began a partnership with TimeWarner Cable to offer interactive video courses to area high schools. He also introduced the college’s first Family Day, attracting more than 1,000 new students and their families to the campus. After leaving the college, he served as the fifth president of the Community College of Philadelphia from 1999 to 2013.
When available, Dr. Curtis’s obituary will be shared.
